TÜBİTAK Opens New R&D Support Calls for Industry and SMEs

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) continues to take significant steps towards increasing the country's scientific and technological production capacity. In this context, it has officially launched the 2nd calls for 2026 for the 1501-Industrial R&D Support Program and the 1507-SME R&D Initial Support Program.

These programs are specifically designed to encourage and financially support project-based research, technology development, and innovation activities for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). With the recent updates, the support rate for a company's first five projects has been set at 75%, and the grant amount per project has been increased to a maximum of 20 million TL. This represents a significant increase that will facilitate SMEs in undertaking larger and more ambitious R&D projects. For the sixth and subsequent projects, the support rate has been updated to 60%.

These calls from TÜBİTAK aim to enhance the competitiveness of Turkish industry, as well as strengthen the R&D and innovation ecosystem, thereby contributing added value to the national economy. The support offered to SMEs for realizing their innovative projects will play a critical role in achieving technological independence and sustainable development.
